kirsty2104's Journals on Buzznet

Well what can I really say?
I am Kirsty [Catastrophe] and I am a sixteen year old girl living in Brisbane, Australia. I have [un]naturally straight dark hair and I am 5'2.5" which as you can tell is shorter than Patrick Stump [I was so close to eye level with him when we met]. My eyes are grey-blue [and change depending on light exposure] and are pretty small. I have a tiny frame and figure and LOVE going to concerts. As cliché as it may sound, music is basically [and in all aspects] my life. I can be [extremely] shy, then again I can be completely shameless [like when I sing as loud as I can along to the instore radio or complimenting Joe Trohman's hair straight to his face] and downright crazy. I am a lot of fun [when I'm in a good mood] and still very serious and mature at the same time. Right now I'm just trying to make the most of my last year and a term of high school before my life officially begins and I am thrown into the deep unknown [my very metaphorical definition of having to get a full-time career, go to university and move out]. I still am not entirely sure on what the future holds for me, though I am highly interested in a career in either music or design. Thanks for checking out my buzznet.

Albums I Buy In 2009!

So I thought it might be fun for me to list the all the albums I buy this year, just to keep track of them (which I really should have done last year) Before you ask, yes, I did make my title rhyme intentionally. So here is my list of Album I Buy in 2009!
Album no.1 We The Kings -We The Kings
(technically I bought this album last year, but it didn't arrive until the very first day of mail delivery this year.)
Album no.2 Folie A Deux - Fall Out Boy
(again, I bought this last year, but it didn't arrive until this year - it's also the american copy)
Album no.3 The All-American Rejects - The All-American Rejects
(I know I've liked them for years, but I was never able to find this album earlier)
Album no. 4 iViva La Cobra! - Cobra Starship
(I also bought this last year, yet it never arrived so I ended up waiting to find a store that stocked it instead)
Album no. 5 When The World Comes Down - The All-American Rejects
(this is obviously their newest album, which I couldn't buy until after I relocated)
Album no. 6 Move Along - The All-American Rejects
(the album that caused me to fall in love with AAR so many years ago..you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a store that stocks it though)
Album no. 7 Underdog Alma Mater - Forever The Sickest Kids
(I've been attempting to buy this since last year, but had to wait until after my relocation)
Album no. 8 New Surrender - Anberlin
(Anberlin's newest album. Usually I get all my Anberlin from Jacinda, but I couldn't wait with this one.)
Album no. 9 All We Know Is Falling - Paramore
(so sometimes I buy the newer album first - most of the time because it's easier to find, that was the case with Paramore, which I bought on Valentine's Day.)
Album no. 10 City, Meet Hurricane - Girl vs Ghost
(i know this is a single, but I bought a physical copy so I figured this should count.)
Album no. 11 Put Up Or Shut Up - All Time Low
(expect this list to grow rapidly over the next few weeks, cause I've started listening to some awesome artists much like All Time Low - I actually got my sister to buy this for me because I had to go to work.)
Album no. 12 One Of The Boys - Katy Perry
(I couldn't contain or deny my love for Katy Perry for any longer, and I'm glad I bought this because I LOVE it.
Album no. 13 So Wrong, It's Right - All Time Low
(This album is purely awesome.)
Album no. 14 Sticks and Stones - New Found Glory
(This is definitely an album I've been wanting for a while, and I was a little disappointed that I couldn't buy their other albums as well.)
Album no. 15 Princess - Short Stack
(As always, I am aware that this is just a single, but they don't have a full album yet so just deal with it.)
Album no. 16 Louder Now - Taking Back Sunday
(I can't believe it took me this long to actually listen to TBS because they are honestly one of the best artists I've ever heard.)
Album no. 17 What To Do When You Are Dead - Armor For Sleep
(Although I heard about these guys a while back, I've only just started listening to them. This album is insane, especially the free booklet I must post pictures of later on.)
Album no. 18 Boys Like Girls - Boys Like Girls
(the last two albums I posted before this were all bought in one go with this album. I went on a bit of a splurge. This album is definitely awesome.)
Album no. 19 Other Voices, Other Rooms - The Getaway Plan
(It definitely took me a while to find this album in stores, but I found it in Sanity this easter break and it came with a bonus Live DVD. WIN.)
Album no. 20 Hymns For The Nonbeliever - Kisschasy
(For some reason I've never bought a Kisschasy album, yet they were the first band I ever saw live in concert. They were, and still are, amazing.)
Album no. 21 Fragile Future - Hawthorne Heights
(I spent half an hour in JB Hi-Fi arguing with myself about whether or not to buy this album this soon, I must have looked insane. Definitely glad I ended up buying it.)
Album no. 22 That's What She Said - The Friday Night Boys
(I actually downloaded a few of these track from FBR when it first came out, but I officially have a physical copy of the excellent EP.)
Album no. 23 VersaEmerge - VersaEmerge
(I first heard 'Past Praying For' from a friend this year, and really enjoyed it. After hearing the rest of this EP, I now realise the other tracks are just as good or even better in some cases.)
Album no. 24 Where You Want To Be - Taking Back Sunday
(The inner debate was very heated on whether I should buy this or Senses Fail. Although I most likely will end up owning both of the albums at some point, I'm glad I bought this one because its a CD/DVD combo.)
Album no. 25 The Silence In Black And White - Hawthorne Heights
(I've had some track from this for a while from friends, although I finally bought a physical copy. Words could not express how much I love this CD/DVD, especially with what this band has had to go through and come out of it so well.)
Album no. 26 Still Searching - Senses Fail
(I've actually contemplated buying this album for a while now, but always chosen something else instead. I listened to this on iTunes over the weekend and realised the next time I went to JB Hi-Fi I HAD to buy it. It is amazing.)
Album no. 27 Skip School, Start Fights - Hit The Lights
(I've always thought about listening to Hit The Lights because they had an extremely catchy album title. Seriously though, I'm very glad I decided to add this album to my Glamour Kills order {which I will be uploading pictures of real soon} because it's an instant favourite of mine.)

Little Miss Fall Out Boy

*This is my third attempt to post this journal entry, it didn't upload the first time so i have to start from scratch and post it a week later*

So I'm back with another completely pointless journal entry mostly because im bored and i probably forgot to do some homework or something that right now i could not be bothered to do anyway...so here is so new news of whats been going on in my life:

1. I bought the Trois Package for the Folie A Deux pre-sale thing which cost me a HEAP of money considering im from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Australia, and now im not allowed to spend over $20 until December 6th.

2. I now have to wait 3 more weeks for the Fall Out Boy edition of Alternative Press to be released at my newsagents.

3. I handed in an English assignment from last term in today (dont worry, i had an excuse...sorta)

4. I have an English exam, English speech, Maths homework/exam, Drama play, ICT assignment, SOSE speech, HPE assignment, Business assignment/excursion and Business exam coming up this term.

5. I have fallen in love with What A Catch, Donnie numerous times since i first listened to it..wait im rephrasing that: since i first graced my delicate ears with the indefinably magnificent resonance of What A Catch, Donnie, i have fallen deeply in love with this masterpiece. (now does that sound smart or what??)

6. I have been trying to gain more hours of work lately to earn more money which, in turn, replaces the money i spent buying the trois package.

7. My friend Steph is coming to be a checkout chick with me from this Saturday onwards.

8. We are currently reading Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" for extension english (can u believe we have to read it at 15?!?) and im pretty sure i look like a natural blonde when i read it because of the confused expression on my face. (no offence meant here, im serious when i say im a natural blonde...both physically and mentally)

9. I got accepted into Team Patrick on Overcast Kids!!! (i know, that sounds a little fangirl-ish of me, but i cant help it sometimes...)

So I guess thats it for now, i'll catch up with you all sometime in the near future i guess...i hope...

Catch ya later Kirsty.XO.

P.S anyone wondering about the Journal title, yes i did buy the Little Miss Fall Out Boy T-Shirt from the Go Merch store and i love it =P

Well im back with another boring and pointless journal entry that has absolutely nothing to do with my title (very much like a fall out boy song) haha..

so, lately i've been having a lot more spazz attacks more often than usual..and who can blame me?? a LOT of very awesome music has come out and is still coming out..still completely psyched for Folie A Deux (under a month now!!!) and a lot of other stuff happening in my life that probably wouldnt really interest anyone on here..but i do have a serious problem at the moment..having finally got a copy of that fall out boy podcast, i have heard snippets from America's Sweethearts/Suitehearts *i dont know how they r actually choosing to spell it after seeing it spelt sweethearts on itunes and suitehearts here and overcast kids...* (although i heard it on the mixtape before anyway) and a snippet of What A Catch and instantly fell in love with them. Usually this would be a delightful situation that i would be happy to be in, but i made a promise to myself that i would not listen or buy another song from Folie A Deux before the album is officially released, and i cant exactly go back on my promise cause i said it out loud in front of numerous witnesses..oh well i guess i be glad i waited when it comes to november 4th...more than i can say about right now..

well now its time for a subject change. I think maybe i should post my top 10 songs of the week:

1. Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet - Fall Out Boy

2. I Don't Care - Fall Out Boy

3. Homecoming - Hey Monday

4. Automatic Eyes - The Academy Is...

5. Cookie Jar - Gym Class Heroes

6. Northern Downpour - Panic At The Disco

7. Guilty Pleasure - Cobra Starship (that song always makes me smile)

8. The Queen and I - Gym Class Heroes (does anyone else love the instruments in that song as much as me???)

9. Risky Business - The Cab

10. Hot N Cold - Katy Perry (irritatingly catchy with annoyingly good lyrics..)

11. Sadie Hawkins Dance - Relient K (who doesnt love this song?!?!?!)

12. The Vinyl Countdown - Relient K (instantly catchy and so very true..)

so thats my top 10 of not really the week, but of how im feeling right now but im contemplating whether to change The Queen and I with Sadie Hawkins Dance or The Vinyl Countdown so im gonna change it to 12 rather than 10 lol...well enjoy!!

Hey from the worst city in Australia!!!

So, i know the title may seem a little melodramatic, but honestly if you asked anyone i know, this place totally sucks according to me..and if you've ever been unlucky enough to come to Cairns and suffer our extreme heat and humidity and constant rain, you would understand...

but enough with my poor me rubbish, i'll get down to business here...i want to start a journal thing on here that i update more than my other profile thingos on other sites cause honestly, my other accounts suck and i love friends or enemies..so heres a bit about me:

My name is Kirsty and i am 15 years old. Im 5'28" and i come from Australia. I go to Smithfield High (second worst school in the state) and im in grade 10. Im currently passing all my subjects (i can finally say that this year after finally passing one term of maths!!!!). I work at a supermarket as a checkout chick and hopefully when i move at the end of the year, i'll be able to get that job at the Music Store the manager told me i should apply for hopefully. Im part of the Overcast Kids, Hey Monday Street Team (they let even though im Australian!!!) and I am constantly buying band merch. Considering i live in a fake city in the middle of nowhere near no capital cities, we dont get that many concerts (we've had about 2 in the last 5 yrs) but ive been to 1 so far and it was a Kisschasy, Faker, and Scribe (timeout) concert. It was awesome cause i got to be in the moshpit, but i got alcohol spilt all over me...

well that will do for a little bit about me..i'll try to post pretty often so catch ya later!!
